Description:

At face value, Nephrite is almost always considered an arrogant, pompous snob. He enjoys the finer things in life and some times acts as though he is better than everyone else. Also, his gift for reading the stars got him endlessly teased when he was younger, thus he was made into a cold person.

He believes in chivalry, but only because he entertained the notion that women are the weaker sex. That notion was virtually wiped out when he met the senshi and he became much more amiable and likeable. Joining up with Hebi has brought back all of these characteristics.

Star Blast: Nephrite can use the energy of the stars and direct it at a target.

Psychic Abilities: More commonly known as Star Reading... Nephrite looks at the patterns of the stars and is able to predict the future. After all these years, Nephrite still hasn't stopped saying, 'The stars know everything...'

Possesion: Nephrite can posess people with his shadow... However, this power takes a lot of energy and concentration and has nearly killed him before... As such, he only uses this power in extreme situations.

Teleportation: Nephrite can teleport fairly long distances, but no longer than from Earth to the moon.

History :

In the Silver Millennium, Nephrite was the third ranked general of Endymion's guard. He was, to say the least, miffed that he had been placed under Jadeite of all people, and voiced his opinons about it. This started the rumors of his character. It did nothig more than making him even more arrogant then he had started out being.

When Nephrite met the senshi, his attitude didn't change immediately. In fact, the only reason he courted Venus was to show up the other generals. During the time he was courting Venus, he began to come to the realization that he actually was attracted to Jupiter. Eventually he began courting her, at the same time as Venus, so he never noticed that Minako was acting strangely. He gave Jupiter the impression that he and Venus had broken it off, so she thought nothing of it.

It was then that Nephrite underwent a personality change and became much more happy and relaxed. When he found out about Venus' infidelity, Nephrite wasn't very angered. He wasn't even at all surprised that she had done that. Nephrite doesn't even remember the duel with Mysterio at all.

When he was working for Beryl and Metallia, his negative personality traits shone through. He prefered to work with just one person to gather energy, and didn't even make an appearance until the night that Jupiter killed him. After he was killed, he was kept in the Dark Kingdom. The same thing that happened to Jadeite happened to him and he became encased in a small Nephrite stone and advised Mamoru along with the other generals.

Hebi is planning on awakening Nephrite when and if Jadeite fails. He knows that Nephrite will be yet another nail in Venus's and Mysterio's coffins and cannot wait for the day when that occurs, and torturing Jupiter on the side helps as well.
