Chapter 9: Love Goddess
In the beautiful gardens of Florence Italy, Minako is taking a break from a photo shoot that she is doing for a major magazine. Oh how I love this garden! It is so Beautiful! Almost as pretty as the Crystal Gardens on the Moon.
MINAKO! a voice calls. Oh No! I forgot! I have to be beautiful with these lovely flowers! Minako thinks to herself as she smiles. Coming Franco! Minako runs to the shoot and is posing quite beautifully and enjoying herself. While she is posing she sees out of the corner of her eye a vision from the past, or is it?
Suddenly a voice comes from her watch, Minako are you there? Minako looks at her watch, and see's that its Pluto. Pluto? Is something wrong? Pluto has a worried look on her face. We need you to come back to the moon as soon as you can Minako. Trouble is brewing and we are assembling the council.
Okay. as soon as I am done here I will be on my way. As the shoot continues Minako looks back over towards the roses where she thought she saw a person, but he is gone. I wonder who it was? Or was I thinking of a past life? Oh well, can't dwell on the past I guess, not when I have work to do.
As Minako finishes up her photo shoot she continues to think about the person she saw, and then wonders if it could be a trick from a new enemy? Perhaps this enemy knows who the Senshi are.
On the other side of gardens a figure watched Minako from afar. The figure is none other than Yahara. Oh my love, Venus. Is that you? I would leave Enmity, and his vengeful group if I knew you still loved me. Yahara watches Minako from a distance. Not quite sure if it is really Venus or not. As Yahara watches, he relaxes and starts to think of that time long ago when they were together.
Minako finishes her photo shoot and walks back to her hotel next to the gardens. She comes up to the pool, and looks at the lounge chairs there. I think I will lay down a bit I am a little tired, and besides the council doesn't convene till morning so I have plenty of time. Minako lays down and dozes off. As she does she starts thinking of a time long ago.
Minako begins to dream, dream of long ago on the Moon during the Silver Millennium. An elegant princess walks into the ball room with hair of gold and eyes of sapphire. She is wearing an exquisite gown, pure white with gold trim around the bodice and the hem. Across the room she notices a distinguished gentleman staring at her.
Princess Serenity walks up to Princess Venus to see what she is looking at. So, do you like him? Serenity asks her. Like who? Venus replies, trying to look innocent. The diplomat’s son over there that has been staring at you since you walked in. Of course what do you expect wearing that gown? I told you it was too low cut.
Venus just stares at Serenity, who happens to be wearing a very similar gown except it has red on the bodice and hem. She then looks over to where the gentleman was and notices he is gone. Venus shrugs her shoulders. Oh well, he is gone. Guess I will go look in the garden to see if Nephrite is here.
What?! Serenity exclaims. You are going to give up that easily? Gee? I thought you were the Goddess of Love Venus. Venus stares at Serenity. Then looks towards the door to the garden outside, and sees the gentleman going out. Venus starts walking to follow him. I will be back. She then looks back at Serenity with a grin on her face....maybe. Serenity watches her friend go out, and sees that she is going after the gentleman she only knows as Mysterio.
Out in the garden Venus tries to start conversation with the gentleman, but doesn't know how without talking about herself. She sits on the garden bench next to the Roses named for her beauty. Mysterio reaches down and plucks a rose from the bush and gives it to her. Mysterio smiles. There is no wonder why this rose has your name. It has the beauty and perfection of you.
Venus looks up and her eyes meet with his. Mysterio extends his hand to her. Would you care to dance? Venus blushes, There is no music though. Mysterio smiles. I can change that. Venus continues blushing and stands to dance with him. As she looks up it looks as if they are far away from the Moon Palace and the ball. There is a light concerto playing and they have the stars and planets in a beautiful display around them. It is truly a magical moment.
Suddenly her dream is shattered. VENUS!!!! Minako sits up in the lounge chair. Huh? What? Where am I? she looks around dazed and totally confused. The voice comes from her watch again. VENUS!! Get your tail to the moon now! There has been more trouble! Minako jumps up trying to get her thoughts together. Yes... Pluto I am on my way. Minako rushes to her hotel room to get her things so she can catch a shuttle to the moon.
Meanwhile on the other side of the garden Enmity appears over a sleeping Mysterio. MYSTERIO!!! What do you think you are doing? He kicks Mysterio to wake him up. Mysterio gets up. obviously upset about getting woke up from such a magnificent dream, but not willing to let Enmity know about it. You wouldn’t understand, Mysterio grumbles. Let’s get back to Castle, Enmity says. The senshi are getting together to plan what they will do.
