Chapter 8: Ice and Thunder
In the Queens chamber hall, Peace discusses his feelings with Faithfullove. Should we warn the senshi to be careful? Probably, Faithfullove responds, but I doubt Uranus and her crew will even listen to us. I believe I overheard Sailor Pluto talking earlier. She said the some of the younger senshi were going to the Crown Gym on Earth to work out.
Faithfullove ponders on this. I think we should go. Peace nods in agreement. They both head to the shuttle terminal, in order to take a shuttle to Earth in hopes that they won't be too late to warn the younger senshi. Faithfullove decides to return to her alter ego, Chenoa Dawn before they exit the shuttle. Once the shuttle has landed they head directly to the Crown Gym.
As they arrive Peace hides in the bushes just outside to wait for Chenoa. Once in the gym, Chenoa decides to start working out, so she can scope out the gym without being noticed, but instead she notices that several people are staring at her while she works out.
This wasn't what I had in mind, Chenoa thinks. I wanted to be virtually invisible. Suddenly Makoto walks up to Chenoa. So you must be new here. Say never seen you here before. Hi, I am Makoto. Makoto extends her hand out to Chenoa, who take it and shakes.
Hi, yes, I am new here. I Just got in town today. Makoto smiles, and asks, So Where are you from? Saturn, Chenoa says without thinking. Then when she see's the puzzled look in Makoto's face she realizes she goofed. Where did you say you came from again? Makoto asks. Chenoa thinks fast for an excuse. I'm sorry, I am a fiction writer and must still be in the zone, so to speak. I am from Australia, I am here in Tokyo on vacation.
Makoto places her hand on her head and smiles. Oh, okay, cool. I have always wanted to go around the world and see different cultures, but you know, something bothers me. You don't have an accent at all. Usually people from other places have an accent when speaking Japanese. Makoto has a puzzled look but soon forgets about Chenoa when Kayla and Irene come running up.
Hi Mom! Both girls say as they embrace Makoto. What are we going to do today? Makoto looks towards the door to see Motoki walking in with Angela and Samantha. Suddenly Makoto hears a familiar giggle that sends a chill down her spine. She looks around to find the source, but does not see where it came from.
What was that? Makoto asks Motoki. That sounded like Chibi. I'm sure Chibi is on the Moon with the King, and Queen, Motoki replies. Now, these two girls told me they were gonna help me clean out the store room, He looks at Angela and Samantha.
Okay. Just be careful, Makoto replies, then she grins. And girls don't do all the work, make sure Motoki does his share. Makoto stifles a giggle as they head to the store room. Motoki, and the girls walk to the back of the gym and disappear behind the door. Makoto turns to Irene, and Kayla. Okay girls lets get to stretching.
Makoto had forgotten about the giggle she had heard, and the new stranger working out near by, when all of a sudden she hears the giggle once again, this time it's closer. Makoto recognizes the giggle from the past, before she can say anything a voice confirms her fears.
What's the matter Makoto? Don't you remember me? From a cloud of smoke Wicked Lady appears in front of Makoto and her daughters. It appears Makoto, that I will be taking a new friend with me and it will be one of your daughters. They have the power Lord Enmity needs, and he can refine it for them. So just step aside!
While Wicked Lady is telling Makoto what she wants, Chenoa raises her arm, and transforms into Eternal Warrior Faithfullove. Makoto just stands stunned at the sight of new person transforming into a senshi. She can't believe her eyes. How many senshi are there, she wonders as she still stands there in shock.
Wicked Lady notice's that Makoto is staring behind her, and whirls around to see what she is staring at. She is almost taken by surprise by Faithfullove's sudden attack. ETERNAL BLAST! Wicked Lady narrowly dodges the blast. It part of it does barely clip her in the side.
That was a low blow! Wicked Lady says through gritted teeth. I will be back to repay you, but I have done what I was sent to do. Before anyone can do anything she twirls her umbrella and disappears in a cloud of smoke.
From the back room they hear a scream. Makoto, and Faithfullove run to the store room. Makoto is the first to enter the room. What happened? Makoto asks, as she notices that only Angela and Motoki are in the room. Where is Samantha! Makoto asks. Motoki obviously shaken answers. A strange man appeared out of no where, and grabbed Samantha! They just disappeared.
Faithfullove looks around the room and sees there is nothing that would lead her to believe it would be her brother, but she has a bad feeling that it was.
Faithfullove looks at Motoki. What did the man look like? Motoki not recognizing this new senshi asks, Who are you? He looks at Faithfullove with suspicion. Faithfullove drops her transformation, and becomes Chenoa once more, as try to relieve his suspicions.
I am Chenoa Dawn, she responds, and you are Motoki Furuhata. Your wife Makoto, and daughters Irene and Kayla, and you must be Angela Urawa. How do you know who we are? Motoki asks angrily. Chenoa embarrassed by this decides to start from the beginning. I am sorry I should have told you. I am Eternal Warrior Faithfullove. I have pledged to protect Neo Queen Serenity and King Endyimon from my brother who has decided to take out his revenge on the Moon Kingdom. It really is a long tale.
How do we know you aren't the evil one and.... Chenoa cuts Motoki off in the middle of his rant. What did this abductor look like? She asks again. Motoki thinks for a moment and collects his thoughts. Well he was tall, purple hair similar to yours and in a robe. Chenoa realizes that her fears are confirmed, She hangs her head as she replies. I am afraid that was my brother, Enmity. Motoki looks at her suspiciously once again. It seems funny to me that you would show up at the same time that Samantha was abducted, are you working for him? Chenoa frowns at hearing this.
Please don't tell me that she is the adopted daughter of Eternal Warrior Uranus. Chenoa asks. Yes, yes she is Makoto replies, that is her daughter why? Chenoa looks over at Makoto. Because I have already ran into her mother and let's just say we haven't exactly hit it off. Seeing that Motoki is fuming that Chenoa has failed to answer his charges Makoto decides to ask Chenoa a question that might defuse the situation. Did you come here to try to stop this abduction? I wasn't sure if there was going to be an abduction, Chenoa tells Makoto. I did want to meet you though.
Suddenly Peace decides to come in and see what is taking so long. Makoto eyes go wide as she see's the White Tiger enter. What the heck is that doing coming in here? Makoto screams. Please, don't be afraid Eternal Warrior Jupiter, Peace answers in his gruff voice. I am a Guardian, I am Eternal Warrior Faithfullove's Guardian to be exact. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Peace. Makoto calms down a bit, then nods acknowledgment to Peace's words. Okay, Sorta like Luna and Artemis? Chenoa walks up beside Peace. No, not really Chenoa replies. He has powers which Artemis and Luna do not possess.
Chenoa rubs Peace's head, as Motoki asks Chenoa a question. So, what is the council doing about this? Motoki stares at Peace awaiting a response. Chenoa decides to answer. I believe they were calling the Council together when I came here. Have they not gotten ahold of you? No, Motoki exclaims. They must be having problems with the communicators again. He then turns to the girls. Okay. Girls pack up we are going to the moon. They weren't going to call the young Senshi, Just the council, Chenoa tells Motoki. Makoto steps forward. I will not leave these girls here with little protection they are coming with us and that's final! The group packs up their gear and head for the shuttle terminal for their trip to the moon.
