Chapter 18: The Big Move
Enmity sat in his throne in the castle of the ancients. He was becoming impatient that none of his servants had reported in about a suitable site for the new base of operations. He knew that the senshi would soon penetrate the barrier he had erected around the castle with Chenoa's help. She had grown so much more powerful since she transformed to her new form, that of Eternal Healer.
While he is lost in thought, Malice, the red pseudo dragon appears before him and bows. My Lord I have found a place that we can move to. Enmity looks up, Oh really? And where would this be? Malice uses her mind link to place a picture in his mind of the place she had found. It was an island fortress of some kind on Earth. This looks promising, Enmity commented, let us take a closer look shall we?
Creating a portal Enmity and Malice appear on the island. before them were several structures, and across the bay their was a great city. I believe the Earth people call this place Alcatraz my Lord, It was once a prison for some of the most notorious criminals of this world, a smiles comes across Enmity's face. This will be perfect. Here on Earth we will be harder to find, and the human population will help shield some of our energy.
Enmity turns to Malice. Very well, go back to the castle and round up the others, and bring them here. When the senshi attack the castle we will not be there! Malice bows and disappears. Enmity turns back to the old prison and looks over the place that will be his new base. The cool breeze coming off the bay makes him feel almost at ease here. After a time of exploring the structures he decides on a place to house his minions, and chooses a chamber for himself.
He sets to work setting up his own quarters, and after a while Wicked Lady appears. This is your idea of a good place for a new base? she asks with contempt. Enmity turns to her and looks directly into her eyes. I didn't see you finding us anything better! This reaction from him causes Wicked Lady to take a few steps back. I am sorry my Lord, it's just that, well this place is a dump!
Enmity considers this for a moment, then holds his hand out to her. In it appears a good amount of currency. Here, take this, go into the city across the bay, and get what you need. Wicked Lady's eyes grow wide as she see's the money. Thank you my Lord, I will return soon, and maybe...I will get something to wear for you. She giggles as she disappears. Enmity sighs, We have such a long way to go/
Back on the moon, the King has called a meeting in the throne room to discuss the disappearance of the Imperium Silver Crystal. Along with him is the severely weakened Queen. Kodia, Peace, and Uranus are there, as well as Chenoa, who has just arrived.
The King begins by grilling both Kodia, and Peace about what they know about the crystal. Uranus is taking great delight in watching this. Kodia, and Peace continue to tell the King that they don't know where the crystal is. The King then turns to Chenoa.
Chenoa, do you know where the crystal is? Chenoa steps forward, and bows. My King, My Queen, it is true I took the crystal, and for that I am guilty, but after Uranus took it from me I don't know what happened to it. Uranus steps forward and points a finger at Kodia, and Peace.
I know they know where it is my King! Allow me to get the information from them! The King holds his hand up to stop Uranus. As he does Chenoa becomes very ill and runs over to the side of the room and throws up. Kodia rushes to her side. Are you alright? He asks. Chenoa nods, yes, I just got ill all of a sudden thats all.
The King seeing how Kodia is holding Chenoa, gets an idea of what is going on. Chenoa, could you possibly be....pregnant? All eyes go to Chenoa as she places her hand to her stomach. No, I do not think so my King. She looks up at Kodia with worry in her eyes. The King decides to drop the subject for now, and continues with the first order of business.
I see no other alternative then call the senshi council to order and try to discover what happened to the crystal. We can also discuss a plan on assaulting the castle, seeing that Chenoa here somehow penetrated their barrier. Maybe we can enter the same way.
