Chapter 17: Together At Last
Kodia exits the portal with Chenoa still in his arms. He has taken her to an underground room in the Ancient’s old castle. He notices that she is recovering quickly here in this sacred place. My love, you had me worried, he wispers to her. He lies her down on a bed in the chamber, then lays next to her, watching her closely. It seems the ancient power that resides here in this castle is your strength, but I do not understand your conection with the Crystal though.
Chenoa slowly awakens, then looks over to Kodia. she slowly puts her arm over him to embrace him as she smiles. At least we got one side effect we didn’t count on. Before he can answer her she kisses him. Kodia, longing for this moment gladly kisses back. when they finish, he looks at her and grins. One I sure do not mind at all. He then looks around the room. I just hope Peace can hold the fort down without us for some time. Chenoa responds with a wicked smile on his face as he kisses Chenoa once again.
Chenoa sits up quickly. Hey, aren’t we in your old castle? What’s gonna keep Enmity or one of the others from finding us? Kodia smiles to reasure her. There is only one way to get to this level in the castle, by being an ancient, and knowing where it is. He couldn’t find us even if he knew we were here. He reaches to kiss Chenoa again but she pulls away. Kodia, we need to get the Crystal, and I have to convince my brother I did it for him so when we find the one chosen to be the Phantom Warrior we can awaken her. The only thing I don’t like... Kosia quiets her by touching his finger to her lips. We can take care of that later, Kodia says softly. He reaches over and kisses her ever so gently. Chenoa gives in and decides they can talk later, after all she thinks, it has been quite a while since they were together, alone.
The next day the two awaken, and realize what exactly it was that happened the night before. Thanks to the power of the Imperium Silver Crystal, Kodia, and Peace finally were able to be separated. Chenoa and Kodia were finally being able to be together alone. It was almost overwhelming.
Chenoa is now more determined to figure things out though. Why did the crystal react the way it did? All ancient artifacts were suppose to help the Ancients, and their chosen owners. Or was it because she had gotten cocky and the power took over? Is it possible she still had characteristics of Enmity?
Chenoa rolls over and embraces Kodia, good morning. I think, it’s morning at least. Kodia smiles, Yes, it is. How are you feeling? Is your energy level ok? Chenoa nods. I seem to be 100%. Of course I haven’t stood up yet. How are you, my love? She kisses Kodia softly on the cheek. Kodia returns the kiss. hmmm... I am fine. But I believe we had better get up or we will spend eternity in this bed together. Kodia gets up, and goes to help Chenoa up.
As Chenoa stands she gets a throbbing headache, and passes out. Kodia lies her back on the bed and leaves to find Peace.
At the Crystal Palace. Kodia is in the hall near the Queen’s Chambers talking with Peace. How is she? Peace asks. I am worried. That was quite a large blast she took. Kodia smiles to reasure his friend. She is fine. She had a headache though so I had her lay down and rest. Trust me though she will be fine. Peace is pleased to hear that Chenoa is alright. I see... you both couldn’t wait could you? Peace shakes his head in disgust.
Anyhow, the Queen remembers Chenoa taking the crystal, but also that there was some sort of explosion last night. Did you tell her what happened? Kodia asks curiously, or did she put it together? I didn’t tell her anything because I though it best if she heard it from you. As they looks down the hall they see King Endyimon coming.
Good morning King Endyimon both say as he walks up. King Endyimon looks at the two. The king looks at them, knowing that he has seen them both before. One of them from the past, and the other one from recent times. He then realizes that it’s Peace and Kodia. Peace, Kodia? They King asks, the duo nod. They King then shakes hands with the two. It has been a long time Kodia, and Peace, I didn't recognize you until you spoke. The King then looks at Kodia. I was not sure if it was you or not.
The King looks around. So where is Chenoa? I figured once you two separated she would be at your side as Serenity is with me. Oh really? Kodia asks innocently. Yes, the King says with a smile. Every waking minute by my side.. The three old friends smiles, laugh and carry on, then Kodia interrupts the reunion. Endyimon, you know what this means don’t you? Peace, and I separated, and then the unforeseen. Unforeseen? Endymion asks with a questioning tone. What happened? Does it have to do with Chenoa taking the crystal? Kodia looks down and then looks toward Peace as if to plea for him to explain. Peace then notices a tear falling down Kodia’s cheek. Peace decides to speak up. Endyimon, it seems that the Silver Imperium Crystal was made from a pure ancient power. Kodia, and I had given her a little bit of that power already to Chenoa, and I believe that is why she tried to use the crystal.
She was able to power it?! The King asks. Well she was to a point, but she used it for less that pure purposes, and... Kodia is interupted but Haruka as she comes down the hall, She still looks injured by the previous nights events. Haruka walks up to them, and she salutes the King.
My King, it seems that we have lost Eternal Warrior Faithfullove. The three men look at each other, and then back at Haruka. What are you taking about Haruka? The King asks. Haruka pain still in her face answers. She stole the Crystal from the Queen last night. When I tried to stop her she wasn’t like her usual self, it was as if her power had increased ten fold. When I tried to stop her she activated the Silver Imperium Crystal, but it reacted against her. There was some sort of explosion, I was shocked. In her Senshi form Chenoa laid there, so still, so quiet. That was when Peace came up and I suppose was peeved from what it looked like. He transformed into Kodia and I attacked him. There was a bright flash of light and I don’t remember anything after that.
Kodia chuckles, and Peace gives him a dirty look. Both look to Endyimon who looks very serious, and obviously wants some information that he doubts the two Ancients will give him. Kodia notices the Kings demenor and decides to fill him in. Endyimon, what she says is true. That bright flash she saw was when our energy level maximized and we separated. I took Chenoa to a safe place where she is recovering well. Kodia grins, and chuckles as he remembers the events of last night. Peace, and King Endyimon both give Kodia a too much info look, and they both shake their heads in disgust. Haruka stands there not realizing the innuendo of what Kodia said. Where is she?! Haruka demands. I want to give her a piece of my mind!
Suddenly what happend comes to her. What a minute. I had grabbed the crystal from Chenoa. but when Peace came back to check on me, and summoned Neptune to help me, it was gone. Haruka looks at Peace. Alright, where is it?! Peace looks at all three then holds up his hands. I didn’t take it! It wasn’t even there when I got back. Where had you gone and with who? The King asks Peace, then he looks at Kodia. For some reason I know that the two of you are up to something so you might as well spill it. Peace, and Kodia look very uncomfortable, and try to think of a way to get out of the trouble they assume they are going to be in
