Chapter 16: Seperation

Uranus, Venus, Chenoa, and Peace return to the palace meeting room. They are still somewhat confused over what had just happened to Motoki in the Senshi Council Chamber. They just stare at each other for a while. Chenoa walks over to Venus, gives her a hug then turns and walks out.

Uranus looks over to Venus. She’s a character eh? Venus looks back to Uranus looking a little embarrassed. Something like that I guess. I have a feeling we will end up relying on her, and her power. Although she is in a body of an 18 year old, she has wisdom beyond that.

Venus looks into space as she continues. The only thing that scares me is she is so in love with this Kodia. You know, it’s worse than when we were dealing with Usagi over Mamoru. At least with them we knew they were meant to be.

Uranus nods in understanding. That makes sense after all Queen Serenity raised the twins along with Princess Serenity. All Chenoa had known since her imprisonment was Peace, until she was set free. The two senshi become silent and lost in thought, and don’t notice when Europa enters the room.

Europa catching that last part of their conversation decides to speak. So, talking about that evil one huh? You know she will not bring us any good, her and her brother need to be destroyed. They will only bring evil down on our kingdom.

Uranus, and Venus turn, surprised to see Europa. What happened to you at the meeting? Where did you go? Uranus demands. Europa looks a little confused, I am not sure, all I know is that I passed out here, and awoke in the gardens.

Europa's previous words finally sink in with Venus. Don’t you think you are being a little melodramatic? Uranus chuckles but, thinks about what Europa has said, and then remembers what Chenoa had said in the meeting. Uranus begins to get an uneasy feeling about Europa.

Uranus regards this man and thinks. If it is true about Europa being the one that convinced everybody to vote against the twins, and then he disappeared.... right before Beryl, and Metallia struck.... that sure is fishy. Uranus gets up and walks out of the room.

Just as she enters the hall she hears Neptune chewing Chenoa out. Chenoa apparently wishes to hear no more and goes storming off to her room. Neptune just walks on by Uranus as if she didn’t even see her. Uranus decides not to follow Neptune due in part in the mood she seems to be in. Instead she decides to follow Chenoa to her room to see what is going on, but right before she opens the door she drops her transformation.

Haruka peers inside the cracked door. Chenoa? Are you okay? Chenoa looks up from her seated position on her bed and gives Haruka a look of despise and hatred. I know ya’ll don’t want me here and I know you are siding up with Europa again. Chenoa's words strike Uranus almost as a physical blow would, she is speechless. Chenoa stands, and continues her verbal assault. I will just leave now! how about that? I can’t stand you or your friend Neptune, she is always on my case so I will just leave!

Chenoa storms out of the room, down the hall, and out the Palace so quickly that Haruka is caught off guard, and does not have a chance to do or say anything. Peace silently walks up to Haruka from behind her, and almost scares her when he speaks. Please Haruka, walk with me. Haruka regains her composure, and decides to follow the white cat.

Europa sneaks behind Peace, and Uranus, and conceals himself from their view as the walk. He can tell that they are talking, but he can not make out the words from where he is hiding. Peace suddenly turns into Kodia, and takes Haruka's hand as the two disappear.

Enmity returns to the Castle of Ancients, and as he walks in has a look of disgust on his face. He watches Mysterio as he is attempting to train Ariel, and Taurus. satisfied that is proceeding, he continues on to his chambers, slamming the door behind him. As the door slams, Enmity feels a strange yet familiar presence.

A voice calls to him from the shadows. Brother.... Chenoa emerges from the shadows. She then surprises him when she kneels at his feet, and looks up at him. Forgive me. I was wrong. I can not help Queen Serenity. Will you allow me to join you? Enmity looks at his sister, and studies her searching for eyes to try to read her intentions.

He decides that he needs to be sure if she is sincere, or if this is another trick. He finally speaks. I tell you what dear sister, you get the Silver Imperium Crystal for me, and I will accept you with open arms. Chenoa smiles, then gets up, and looks at her brother. Is that all my Lord? Enmity only nods in reply. Then I will bring it to you shortly. Chenoa opens a portal, then disappears into it.

Enmity ponders on what has just happened for a few moments, then realizes that his sister needs watching. Malice! Where are you! Malice appears as if out of thin air. You called me Lord? Enmity looks at the red dragon. I take it you heard the exchange between my sister and I? Yes my Lord, every word. Enmity smiles realizing he does not have to explain in detail what he wants from the dragon. Follow my sister. Tell me what she does. She is on her way to the Crystal Palace. Malice bows her head. Yes! My Lord. Right away! The little dragon flies off with eagerness to do Enmity’s bidding.

Faithfullove arrives at the Crystal Palace, and enters Neo Queen Serenity’s Chambers. Chenoa looks around the room and sees the Silver Crystal on its stand. She looks to make sure the Queen is asleep, then proceeds to grab the crystal. As she does so, somebody grabs her arm. Chenoa looks, and sees the Queen has awakened, and is now holding her arm.

Chenoa, what are you doing? Chenoa looks at the Queen with pleading eyes. My Queen, trust me. No harm will befall you. She then leaps off the balcony, and disappears. Just as Chenoa reaches the garden pathway, she see Uranus standing there with her sword drawn. Uranus has a stern look on her face, then she points to the crystal. What do you think you are doing with that?!?

Chenoa takes an offensive stance. You can’t stop me Uranus! Get out of my way or you will pay! ETERNAL POWER!!! As Chenoa transforms into Eternal Warrior Faithfullove, there is an odd glow about her. Just as she is transforming Hikari Kuro, the Queens hand maiden comes outside, and as she sees Chenoa transform she passes out.

Faithfullove stares at Uranus. Don't make me kill you Uranus, I have given my word to the Queen. That will not change, and the Queen will not be harmed by this action. I know what I am doing. Do you? Faithfullove points the gravely end of her staff at Uranus. Do you?! She demands once again. Uranus anger begins to build. Of course I know what you are doing! As she points her sword at Faithfullove. Give me that crystal! Now!

Faithfullove, not one for taking the easy road decides to attack. ETERNAL BLAST!!! With a stronger power, the blast reaches Uranus, striking her, and sending her flying across the Palace Gardens. In less than a second Faithfullove is standing almost on top of Uranus. She decides to taunt Uranus. You know, I like this crystal. She stares at the beautiful clear stone, smiling evilly.

This crystal must have something to do with the Ancients too. With this crystal in my hand Enmity will think I am on his side. Which will be perfect. All we have to do is get me, Kodia and Peace along with the Phantom Warrior in those ruins. Then Enmity will be defeated! Faithfullove points the staff at Uranus with a daring look. Are you sure you still want to stand in my way?

Uranus looks up at her while still lying on the ground. Try Me! She replies as she jumps to her feet with sword drawn. Faithfullove, getting a little over confident, taunts Uranus again. I can easily defeat you with out the crystal, but just so you die quickly I will use it. Chenoa begins to laugh evilly.

Chenoa grabs the Crystal and calls upon its power, when she notices Uranus charging her in an attempt to stop her. Chenoa points the crystal at Uranus and attempts to focus her power through it. ETERNAL POW...Arrgg!! Faithfullove is hit from a blast from the crystal itself, throwing her about fifty feet away, as she hits the ground she becomes unconscious.

Uranus runs over to her and grabs the crystal. You stupid fool, The crystal can not be used against pure hearts. Uranus looks up and sees Peace running towards them. Angrily, Peace comes up to Uranus and looks at Faithfullove. What did you do to her? Why couldn't you leave her alone for a change!?!

Suddenly a strange thing happens. the crystal springs to life with a brilliant light. This light shoots out and strikes Peace. as the great cat is enveloped in a blinding light the cat is divided into two separate beings. one is Peace, in his human form, the second is Kodia, now totally free from Peace, possessing his own body once more. Uranus looks on as the light fades, she now see's two men where the great cat once stood.

Kodia stares at Uranus, obviously angered. How dare you! Uranus is angered by Kodia's attitude. I didn't do any thing! So your the great Kodia I have heard about? Kodia nods in acknowledgment. She decided to act stupid again and try to use the crystal on me, and It back fired on her! I didn't even touch her! I guess you didn't train her well enough to know about the Imperium Silver Crystal.

Kodia, angered at Uranus's comments, launches a Telekinetic bolt at her. Uranus dodges the attack, then begins to launch an attack on Kodia, forgetting that she is still holding the crystal. WORLD... suddenly the crystal starts glowing, than as it did with Chenoa, blasts her to the ground. Grinning Kodia regards Uranus. What was that you were saying about knowing about the crystal my dear? Lying on the ground Uranus notices that Kodia and Peace take the unconscious Chenoa, then she passes passes out.

Peace walks over to Uranus and takes the Crystal and gives it to Kodia. here, I hope she wanted it that bad. Peace says softly, his face very saddened. Kodia nods as he looks down at the crystal. I can not believe this was her plan. The only thing she didn't count on was the crystal responding the way it did to her emotional state.

Kodia picks up Chenoa in his arms and holds Her close to his chest. Then looks around, and sees that the Queens maid is still passed out on the ground closer to the Palace. Peace taps Kodia on the shoulder to get his attention. We had better get going old friend. That blast was large enough to let everybody in the Palace know something big happened.

Kodia looks at Peace. Yes, you are right. Peace looks up at Kodia. can you carry her? or shall I? Kodia hands Chenoa over to Peace. I will let you, meanwhile I need to talk to Enmity! Peace nods in agreement as the three disappear into a portal created by Kodia.

Kodia, and Peace, who is still carrying Chenoa, enter the ruins that is the Castle of the Ancients. Suddenly Enmity emerges from the shadows in front of them. Kodia walks up to Enmity, not hiding his displeasure at the thought that Enmity has just used his own sister for his evil ends.

I sure hope you are happy! She's almost dead. Kodia then holds out the crystal. and all for this. Enmity tries to grab it, but Kodia is too quick for him. Are you a fool? You can't even use it, and you won't get your hands on it. Enmity does not answer, only gives Kodia a dark look. I will make you pay Joshua, this is a real war now.

Kodia takes a few steps back, but still faces Enmity. I will not allow you or any of your minions to get away with what you have done! Count on that! Kodia gently takes Chenoa from Peace's arms, and disappears into a portal, leaving Peace there to face Enmity. I hope you know what you have done Enmity. the Peace finally says, then he creates a portal of his own and departs, leaving Enmity speechless, and alone to ponder.

Peace exits his portal right next to Hikari Kuro, the Queen's hand Maiden. She is still unconscious, but starts to stir. You are the one. He softly says to her. I feel the power coming from you. I must put a trustworthy soul in charge of your protection. He looks to Uranus. Peace reaches out with his limited telepathy to Neptune. Neptune, please come quickly to the gardens. Uranus is hurt and I need you to help me. He realizes that he has reached her when he feels panic on the other end of the mental link.

Peace then walks over to Uranus, and bows his head reverently. Princess, I am so sorry it came to this, but I can help. He then lifts his head up, and closes his eyes HEALING RAIN! Suddenly the healing showers of Peace's healing power fall down upon Uranus, and she comes to. Princess Uranus, are you alright? She looks at Peace very puzzled seeing that he is human, but realizes who he is from his voice

Peace once again bows his head. Princess Uranus , I .... I am sorry, but I need you to do something of high importance, and nobody besides you and..... Before he can finish Neptune comes towards them. As I was saying, besides you and Neptune. You must watch over Hikari. She is the hope, and salvation of our kingdom. Just guard her and protect her. After He tells them of who Hikari really is, and her destiny, Uranus, and Neptune reluctantly agree to watch her. Peace then proceeds into the palace.
