Chapter 14: Confusion
Chenoa slowly awakens. She looks around, and realizes she is not in the Palace. It is dark, and smells dank and musty. What did they do give me up for dead? Chenoa wonders. Chenoa then looks to her right, and sees a shadowy figure standing there.
Hey! Who are you!? She feels somewhat dizzy, and yelling made her side hurt even more. The figure leaves, and Enmity comes in. He walks over to his sister, and kisses her on the cheek. Just behind him is the shadowy figure watching.
Chenoa, I am glad your awake. I have somebody that really wants to see you. He has waited a long time. Enmity motions over to the shadowy figure. Slowly this mysterious person walks towards Chenoa. As he comes out of the shadows Chenoa see's who it is.
KODIA! Is it really you? She bolts out of bed, as she does she feels incredible pain in her side that causes her to pass out. Enmity catches her, and picks her up in his arms. As he holds on to his sister Enmity drops his transformation. He carries her to a nearby chair, and sits with her in his lap.
For the first time since they were released Joshua feel remorse. I am sorry, but I had to get the upper hand. For some reason, although we share injuries we do not have the same healing rate. I knew I had to get you out of the palace, because I know how stubborn you are. You would get up and start moving as soon as you could, not as soon as you should. Then causing more injury, not only to you, but to me as well.
For this reason I brought Kodia here so you would know that this is where you belong. The entire time Joshua has Chenoa in his lap he is comforting her like a father would a child. The love between the two siblings is great. It hurts him to think that they might have to fight one another.
Joshua caresses her cheek. Chenoa, are you okay? He finally decides that she needs more rest. He slowly picks her up and carries her into the adjoining room. My Lord, You shouldn’t be carrying her, Mysterio says, as he drops his illusion of Kodia. Your ribs are still injured.
As he stands he feels new strength, as if he was drawing it from his proximity to Chenoa. He turn to Mysterio. Actually they haven’t hurt since I caught her as she collapsed. Isn’t that odd? Mysterio helps Joshua lay Chenoa down on the couch. Did you get the tea I asked for Mysterio? Mysterio hands Joshua the tea, then leaves the room.
While Joshua is taking great pains to make the tea and prepare something to eat for Chenoa, Wicked Lady comes in and goes into a fit of rage. What is she doing here!? You said you would have Mysterio take her somewhere else! While Joshua and Wicked Lady argue, Chenoa awakens. Eternal Power, she says weakly, nothing happens.
Chenoa looks at her arm band and sees that the gem is busted. Must have happened when I took that blast. Chenoa thinks of what she can do. Maybe? It's worth a try, Healing Shower! Just as Chenoa, shouts the phrase Wicked Lady turns towards her.
Suddenly a shower of energy leaps from Chenoa, and envelops Wicked Lady, absorbing a lot of her energy. Wicked Lady collapses from the energy drain. Ahh, That feels much better. Chenoa grins as she moves herself to get comfortable. As she does she winces in pain. Ouch, my ribs. as she settles in a comfortable position she looks towards Joshua who seems puzzled.
How did you do that without transforming? Joshua asked. I don’t know, Chenoa says. What I do know is that my body seems to be changing. A new power is coming. I can feel it. Joshua thinks. I am afraid I don't feel it sister. He looks towards Mysterio as he re enters the room once again posing as Kodia. He motions for him to come forth so that Chenoa can see him.
Chenoa looks towards Kodia. She gets up and runs to him, throwing her arms around his neck. The quick movement forces her to lean heavily on him. Ouch! Help me sit down, please. Mysterio posing as Kodia helps Chenoa sit. He looks towards Joshua as if to plea for help.
Joshua realizes that Mysterio is not comfortable having Chenoa hanging on him for some reason. Kodia, I need you to go and get some more tea for Chenoa. Joshua grins, and it seems that Wicked Lady may need some too. He looks to the unconscious Wicked Lady who is still lying on the floor. Oh well, you asked for that. He chuckles out loud.
Chenoa takes in her surroundings and realizes although Joshua has made it so she could heal faster, it is more for his sake, not hers. Chenoa suddenly gets another of her nagging headaches. Can I be alone for a while brother? I have this awful headache, and I really need to rest. I do wonder if that Tea has a side effect or something. She looks around and notices there is only one exit out of the room.
Joshua nods. Of course sister. We will let you rest. The quicker you are better the quicker we can take over the Moon Kingdom! Joshua then turns, and walks out of the room. Mysterio still posing as Kodia comes in, and picks up Wicked Lady so he can take her back to her chambers. He then looks to Chenoa, and says, Things are not always how they look, nor are people. With that said, he leaves the room with the unconscious Wicked Lady.
Chenoa starts thinking about what he said after he has left. Then realizes she didn't feel Kodia’s energy at all. Odd, I would think if that was him, I’d have felt his energy. I wonder. Chenoa concentrates on Peace and tries to contact him telepathically.
Meanwhile at the Crystal Palace on the other side of the moon, Venus is being chastised in Chenoa's room. Venus! How could you let him in here!? Peace asks. Now what are we going to do if Enmity convinces her to work with him? Venus tries to reply. I.... I didn’t think. It was the flood of emotions I felt when I seen him. I know Mysterio doesn’t want to hurt anybody! She looks to the floor looking sad for what she allowed to happen.
Peace becomes quiet, as he suddenly feels Chenoa’s thoughts. I am okay, he hears her say. I need help to get out of here, Chenoa tells him. Enmity gave me the opportunity to regain my strength, so now I want to return the favor. Peace feels a new power within Chenoa growing, even over the telepathic link it is strong. He smiles. We will be meeting a new warrior soon, he says softly. Chenoa shall be the Ultimate Healer!
Peace races out of the palace nearly running over the Queen’s maid Hikari. Opps! I am very sorry, He calls as he flies by her. He does not stop, but keeps on going as fast as he can. Peace’s anger of the situation, and love for Chenoa appears to be bringing on his next step to his Ultimate Power. As he reaches the end of the Palace Gardens he feels the power rush through him. This power separates the dormant persona within him, Kodia
As the great cat feels the power build, his body begins to change. He transforms into his human form, in this form he takes on the appearance of Kodia the Ancient. In this human form, the persona of Kodia takes dominance. Now as two minds, the former friends who share one body quickly reaquaint themselves with one another as they race to rescue Chenoa. As Kodia gets closer to the Ruins, he senses the barrier. He then opens his mind once more to communicates with Chenoa mentally. I am nearby, I believe with the use of our ESP connection we can combine our powers to get you out.
When Chenoa hears a voice in her head that she has not heard in years, she automatically senses the change he has undertaken. Kodia...she says with a smile. You have returned... Okay, we can use our combined powers to find the weak point in the barrier, the I will use my blast to knock a hole through it.
Chenoa walks out of the room, and past the others in the next room. She thinks it’s odd nobody tries to stop her, but she keeps going. As she gets outside she sees Mysterio there. Where are you going Chenoa? She walks toward the barrier. I am leaving here, I don’t like the company.
While this happens, Sailor Taurus comes outside. She notices that, for the first time that Chenoa is Faithfullove, although she is not in warrior form. Taurus realizes that Chenoa means to escape and decides to stop her. Taurus Fire Storm!
Mysterio see's the attack coming, and pushes Chenoa out of the way to keep her from getting hit with the blast of fire. He then looks at Taurus. Why are you out here? annoyed Taurus snaps back. I am protecting our base, like you are supposed to be doing!
Do to the commotion of Taurus's attack, Sailor Ariel, and Enmity come outside. Wicked Lady staggers to the entrance. Chenoa, realizes that she is quickly being out numbered. She calls out to Kodia telepathically. Kodia, I need some help here! Kodia realizes that Chenoa has somehow figured out that the strength of Kodia has come through, and the time has come for her to transform. Enmity walks up to Chenoa to see what is going on. He gets with in a few feet of her when Chenoa closes her eyes, puts her hand over her broken arm band and shouts.
ULTIMATE POWER! There is a blinding light from Chenoa, and only Enmity is left standing near Chenoa. Enmity sees Chenoa covered by what appears to be wings. As Chenoa's transformation completes, her new fuku materializes onto her. Similar to her old fuku but yet more elegant. As she stands there a new more intimidating staff appears and her arm band reforms.
As the transformation finishes Chenoa finds herself feeling whole! The twins are no longer the same soul. She realizes that she is free of the symbiosis that Joshua, and she have shared for so long. She has finally been healed. Enmity is stunned for the moment and can only say one word. Impressive. As he comes out of shock, he realizes that only one thing could have allowed his sister to transform to her new power level. So, you must have found the real spirit of Kodia, am I right?
What does Kodia have to do with it? Ultimate Healer Faithfullove asks her brother. Enmity smiles. Oh Chenoa, You never were very good with legends, and mythology. He was the key to your reaching your ultimate power. But if he is around, that means there is also another warrior coming. That warrior is still asleep, The Phantom Warrior. I must find her before you my sweet sister.
But unfortunately, it seems you will not be joining me now. I am sorry for what I have to do now, but I have to ensure my plans succeed. Crimson Blast! Enmity attacks his sister, but seems to be to no avail. He doesn’t realize that during her transformation she passed through the barrier. His attack disperses harmlessly against the barrier.
Faithfullove drops her new transformation, and turns back to Chenoa. She runs a few yards, and meets up with Kodia. They both race back to the palace before they can be pursued. Once they get a safe distance from the ruins Chenoa stops Kodia. Okay, explain something to me. How are you Peace’s ultimate power? Kodia looks at her for a few moments as if embarrassed by the question. I’m not. He answers. I am only his current human form.
