Chapter 10: Compromise
In the outer Senshi quarters in the Crystal Palace someone screams. Noooooo!!!!!!!! Haruka has just been informed that her daughter has been abducted, and to make things worse Faithfullove was there. She is very angry, and starts slamming things around in the hall, when Chenoa and Peace walk up to her.
Chenoa walks up to Haruka cautiously. Haruka I am so sorry. I didn’t know who they would go after. I just knew I had to try and stop it. Wicked Lady and Enmity... You! Get out of my sight! Haruka barks. You led your brother straight to her you wench! Haruka rushes forward and pushes Chenoa down on the ground.
Chenoa looks up at Haruka with at first a confused look, then it turns to anger. If you need to take your anger out on me go ahead. But it will not solve the problem. We have to work together to bring back the three girls. Why are you all of a sudden worried about the kidnapped ones? Haruka asks, anger still in her voice.
I can easily take out Enmity by giving up my own life. Chenoa pleads. We share our soul, but that would not bring the girls back to the Moon Kingdom. There is another power at work here. There are two legends I asked Luna and Artemis to look up and see if they can find. One is about an Ultimate Healer, and the other, The Phantom Warrior.
Haruka does not listen, instead she raises her henshin stick. Uranus Eternal Power! Make Up! Uranus looks at Chenoa with hate in her eyes. So why don’t I just kill you right now and get it over with? She draws and holds her space sword at Chenoa. Chenoa raises her arm band. ETERNAL POWER!! the moment she finishes her transformation, Faithfullove forms her staff and points her staff’s deadly end towards Uranus.
The two are in a standoff. Haruka stands firm. Why don’t I just kill you? Haruka challenges, I wouldn’t even have to move. It would take you and Enmity out with one blow. Chenoa tries to talk some sense into her. Think about this Haruka, that would still leave the girls in the power of the evil one. Chenoa's statement strikes a cord of truth inside Haruka.
Suddenly Uranus runs out of the Hall and through the palace. I will find Samantha and bring her back! She cries out. Faithfullove, and Peace follow Uranus as to keep her from killing herself.
As Uranus gets outside her communicator goes off. She stops, and answers it. She see's its Neptune. Uranus I sense evil coming from the dark side of the moon. So the energy is coming from the dark side? Thanks Neptune. I will let you know what I find. Before Neptune can object, Uranus turns her communicator off, then prepares to set off, but she hears something behind her. Uranus catches a glint of white, and shakes her head.
Okay, Peace I know you are there. Is she with you, and if she is why? Yes, We are here, Peace answers. Peace, and Faithfullove emerge from the bushes. Peace walks up to Uranus and begins to speak. Eternal Warrior Uranus, there is too much unknown danger for you to do this alone. We could not let you do that. Ok that is your reason Peace. She then looks at Faithfullove. What about you Faithfullove?
Well you are one of the stronger Senshi and I will need your help in finding out the truth, regardless of how we feel about each other. We will have to work together to bring peace back to the Moon Kingdom. Uranus looks puzzled. What happened? I didn’t think you cared about the rest of us, or is this a game too?
All of a sudden Faithfullove falls to the ground holding her head in agony. Uranus hesitates for a moment, unsure what to do. Finally seeing the concern Peace shows as he hovers over her she decides to rush over and see it she is all right. Uranus holds her up. Are you okay? She asks, but as she looks at Faithfullove, it appears she has passed out.
Peace looks at Uranus. Maybe I should carry her. She has been having flash backs, it is possible something triggered another. Uranus for the first time feels concern for this new senshi. What type of flash backs? She asks Peace. Flash backs of the Silver Millennium? Or of life long ago? Peace decides that if he reveals what he knows that maybe Uranus might be more understanding of Faithfullove.
Mostly of the last days before her and Enmity were imprisoned. It seems that it was the Senshi Council that perceived the twins as a threat, and not Queen Serenity, as Enmity believes. But It wasn’t just Senshi on the council during that time, you see there were also Lords, and Generals on the council.
Peace sighs, then continues. Uranus is in awe listening to this wise cat and his tale. Looking back it is very possible that Metallica’s influence could have been evident. If the twins were around when Beryl attacked, they might have had the power to defeat her. That time was very tragic. Faithfullove was ripped away from her best friend Kodia, as well by their banishment.
For some reason, the name Kodia sticks in her head. Kodia? Doesn’t that name mean ancient? Uranus begins to get comfortable for some reason with this white cat. She sits down to relax. Peace, How odd that The Ancient One would be the guardian of Faithfullove, who in turn is best friends was Kodia. Peace nods as Uranus continues. But I am curious, you can’t turn into human can you? You aren’t by chance, Kodia are you?
Peace takes in all of Uranus's questions, and comments, then decides to answer. I have not achieved my ultimate power yet, so no, I can’t turn into human. Peace sits down as he continues with his answers, I am not Kodia, and I do not know what has happened to him.
Peace sighs. When I was sent to watch over the twins, I had no memory of what had taken place. I vaguely remember being on Uranus under training with the other guardian animals. Faithfullove shared her memories with me during her imprisonment, we had a weak mind link of sorts. As Uranus and Peace talk they see activity at the ruins that is in the distance.
They make sure they are well hidden, and watch to see what is going on. They see Malice the dragon and what appears to be a tall man. Suddenly their surroundings change. They are now surrounded by a beautiful garden, the sun is shining, warming the three of them. Quickly Malace, Mysterio hollers. get inside and warn Lord Enmity, it seems we have some intruders! I will hold them here until you get help.
Peace realizes what has happened as he looks over the new surroundings. I believe we have been discovered, and it appears that Mysterio is behind this based on this lovely illusion. Faithfullove starts to stir some, but remains unconscious. Can you do something about her being a burden? Uranus asks Peace. Since you have powers can you teleport her or something?
Peace thinks for a moment then an idea comes. Hang On let’s see....TIGER METABOLISM!! White energy in the shape of a tiger leaps from his body and enters the stirring Faithfullove. Faithfullove awakens suddenly, and looks around and sees the garden. Confused, she slowly gets up and looks towards Uranus. Suddenly, she runs towards Uranus. As she does Uranus braces for an attack from Faithfullove, but is surprised by her words.
GET DOWN!!! QUICKLY!!! Uranus just stands there shocked. What are you..... Faithfullove jumps right in front of Uranus as an attack comes from no where. It knocks Faithfullove into Uranus and they both get knocked to the ground. Uranus can tell that Faithfullove has been seriously injured. Uranus has the wind knocked out of her from the attack, but has no injuries other than some bruises.
Uranus looks over Faithfullove,e and becomes worried when she doesn't come to. Peace, we have to get her back to the Palace quickly. She looks around and notices the illusion is gone, and there is no more activity at the ruins. Peace notices this as well, and realizes that this is their chance to escape. Yes, quickly, I can not give her the strength she needs. Put her on my back and climb on behind her.
Once Uranus places Faithfullove on his back, and climbs on herself, Peace begins to run toward the Palace. He makes sure that neither of the warriors fall off of his back. King Endymion, and Eternal Warrior Neptune are surprised at the sight of the two senshi on the back of this lumbering tiger as he gets to the Palace entrance. Uranus jumps off of Peace as he comes to a halt. She grabs Faithfullove and heads for the entrance.
Quickly we have to help her! She is badly hurt. Uranus says to Endymion, and Neptune as they join her to help. Endymion walks over to Faithfullove, and gives her some strength. Enough to revive her, but not quite enough to restore her completely. She is definitely gonna be some bed rest, the King comments.
Suddenly Faithfullove loses her transformation. Once again as Chenoa, she opens her eyes weakly. Thank you, your majesty, I have to rest though. Don’t worry, Enmity will not be a problem until morning. Peace, can you take me to a couch or something? Peace, take her to the empty room in the royal hall. It’s next to Chibi’s room the King tells Peace. As Peace leaves with Faithfullove hanging on him, King Endymion talks with Uranus to find out what exactly happened.
